Hello World!
Meet Hugo, a tech enthusiast and open-source advocate with expertise in infrastructure engineering.
Welcome to this part of the interweb.
I’m Hugo, a technology passionate and OSS advocate. I’m a infrastructure engineer with a touch of software development.
I started my tech days fiddling around with virtual machines on Virtual-PC (probably a sign of what was coming). From there, I went to software development for a couple of years, where I mostly worked with C# and Python.
After a lot of LOC, I got an opportunity to manage the cloud infrastructure of a company that implements Odoo, and from there, I dedicated my self to racks and patch panels. I went from deploying on-premises infrastructures on multiple air-gapped and high security environments with Vision-Box, being responsible for the entire infrastructure of the third biggest app store and back to managing high security and critical PKI infrastructure on INCM.
Between those Virtual-PC days and now, a lot happened. I found my passion for Tux and Puffy, as well the world of free and open software. Unless there’s a security or legal issue, all code I write is open source under a permissive license (usually MIT), because I do believe that we can evolve even more and faster when we are part of a community instead of relying on a peace of green paper.
